Food Safety & Responsible Sourcing

Oddisea Super-Frozen’s Tuna Sourcing Commitment
At Oddisea SuperFrozen, we recognize the critical importance of conserving our natural environment, preventing the depletion of marine resources (aligned with UN SDG 12 & 14) and upholding labor rights across our entire supply chains and within our company (aligned with UN SDG 3 & UN SDG 10). As an influential buyer, importer, and distributor of SuperFrozen seafood from global producers, Oddisea SuperFrozen has developed rigorous, category-specific sourcing statements, reflecting our commitment to the seafood we all deserve—clean, traceable, transparent, and responsible.

Supplier Expectation Manual 2024
The Supplier Expectation Manual outlines the minimum set of quality programs that form the foundation of our supplier food safety & quality systems along with our business code of conduct. We are committed to delivering safe and high-quality food products through the development, implementation, and maintenance of procedures that comply with our policies, applicable international, federal, state, and local laws and regulations, and Global Food Safety Initiative Standards (GFSI). We expect our suppliers to embrace these programs and cultivate a culture of continuous improvement in food safety and quality, exceeding our minimum expectations.

Seafood Procurement Policy 2024
To achieve our vision and make progress toward our goals, we use our due diligence framework to systematically and proactively address the environmental and social impacts within the seafood supply chain. Oddisea SuperFrozen defines ‘Sustainability’ based on the United Nations’ definition as “…meeting present needs without compromising future generations’ ability to meet their needs.” (UN, 2023).
